Post-Roe America — Is Same-Sex Marriage At Risk?
GBH Studio at the Boston Public Library
Following the leaked draft of the Supreme Court opinion calling for Roe v. Wade to be overturned, LGBTQ+ activists worry that the legal arguments used to undo Roe will lay the groundwork for anti-LGBTQ groups to go after same-sex marriage.
Join GBH Contributor Sue O'Connell as she sits down with cochair of the Massachusetts Gay and Lesbian Political Caucus, Arline Isaacson, and Executive Director of the GLBTQ Legal Advocates and Defenders (GLAD), Janson Wu, to discuss the future of marriage equality in a post-Roe America.
Seating is limited and based on a first-come, first-served basis.
12n-1pm 700 Boylston St., Boston, MA 02116

Boston Pop-Up Pride
Rally and festival with food, music and performances, along with youth, family and quiet areas. Organized by community members and local organizations.
The dawn of a new Pride is rising! After two long years without a Pride event in downtown Boston, we are excited to invite you to celebrate Pride on the Boston Common. For the past 50+ years, LGBTQ+ people and their allies have gathered in June to celebrate Pride. For two years, COVID has made a public gathering for Pride impossible. Pop Up Pride will offer the community an opportunity to gather and celebrate during this year of rebuilding a more inclusive and responsive Pride organization that serves Greater Boston.
Pop-Up Pride is a grassroots, community-organized, community-centered, one-time event. The day-long event will include a rally with speakers, music, performers, community tables, food vendors, a family area, a LGBTQ+ youth area, and a quiet area.
In the wake of a dismantled Boston Pride, we seek to reclaim a Pride that not only belongs to the community, but serves the entirety of the LGBTQ+ community, especially Greater Boston's communities of Queer and Trans, Black, Indigenous, people of color (QTBIPOC) who experience intersecting forms of oppression.
?Organizers include a diverse group of community members. Partner organizations assisting with the planning and/or funding include Pride for the People, Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Mass Equality, Boston Lesbigay Urban Foundation, BAGLY, Fenway Health, MA Commission on LGBTQ Youth, GLSEN, Greater Boston PFLAG, GLASS, Queer Youth Assemble, Girls LEAP, Cambridge YWCA, and more joining every day.
The Massachusetts LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce has generously volunteered to serve as fiscal host and raise funds from foundations and nonprofit organizations to support this event.
