Choose transgender student as homecoming king
Concord High School in New Hampshire made history when students voted classmate Ray Ramsey as homecoming king. Ramsey was crowned king at the school’s homecoming football game at end of September.
Ramsey, a senior, is the first transgender student to be elected homecoming king at Concord High School.
According to the Concord Monitor, each school club nominates candidates for king and queen. Tide Pride, the LGBT club, nominated. Ramsey.
Lisa Lamb, senior class advisor, told the Monitor that “Ray’s a huge part of our school,” and that he won in a “lansdlide”.
