Congratulations to renowned fashion designer David Josef and his now-husband, Daniel Forrester. After 33 years together, the South End couple was married on Saturday, October 26. The ceremony took place at the Needham home of the couple’s friend, WCVB-5 anchor Susan Wornick. Friend Missy Margolis officiated and among the 125 guests in attendance were fellow designers Yolanda Cellucci and Denise Hajjar, The Hat Sisters, Fox news anchor Uma Pemmaraju and Mayor Thomas M. Menino with wife Angela and daughter Susan Fenton. Menino’s attendance was a long time coming. “The mayor was in my office for some alterations in 2004, two weeks after Massachusetts became the first state to legalize same-sex marriage,” explains Josef, whose celebrity clients have included Cher, Cyndi Lauper and Debbie Reynolds. “He asked if we planned to marry. Our answer: eventually. His response was, ‘Let me know and I’ll be there!’” Nine years later, the Mayor made good on his promise. Cheers to the happy couple.
