Join us for our monthly Community Circles,a safe space where LGBTQ people of color and allies discuss topics ranging from politics to pop culture and partake in activities that help us explore and share our backgrounds, identities, and relationships. Refreshments provided.
This month’s topic is friendship. What is your experience as a queer person of color in finding friends in Boston? In other places? What are friendships like with people of shared identities? Different identities? How do our friends make us who we are?
Third Annual LGBTQ Youth Empowerment Conference Call for Workshop Proposals
Share your knowledge and skills with LGBT youth to create personal and social change.
HBGC’s annual LGBTQ Youth Empowerment Conference is New England’s largest gathering geared towards LGBTQ youth of color under the age of 25 who are interested in gaining life skils, learning about youth and LGBTQ resources, connecting with youth and allies and supporting youth development and success.
Conference tracks include: Health & Wellness, Identity/Interectionality, The Arts, Life Skills, Community Movement Building
Proposals must be received by Friday, August 9, 2013.
We strongly encourage young leaders of color, under age 25 to submit proposals!
LGBTQ mentorship program accepting new mentors and mentees.
HBGC is now recruiting mentors and mentees for the next wave of our LGBTQ Mentorship Program! The program helps LGBTQ youth and young adults develop a positive LGBTQ identity while successfully adapting to college and/or professional life.
Mentors aim to support mentees in a safe, caring, one-on-one relationship while mentee work towards their personal, social, academic, career and/or life goals.
