Boston Pride would like to thank the thousands of participants, sponsors, spectators and volunteers who made this year’s Boston Pride Week the biggest in our 42-year history. We want to the community for coming out in full force and showing their support for Boston Pride.
We were very fortunate to have had a beautiful, sunny day (the first one in four years!) that added to the success of the Parade and Festival. (Thank you to our official Pride meteorologist David Brown for summoning the sun!) We are thrilled to announce that the Parade had an estimated 750,000 spectators, 15,000 parade marchers, 200 registered groups, 45 vehicles and 21 floats…truly a record-breaking day.
All ten days of Pride were amazing this year, starting with the Flag Raising ceremony on City Hall Plaza and ending with the Sunday block parties in the Back Bay and Jamaica Plain. Bringing the community together through a variety of events during Pride Week is our priority, and we could not have done it without all of our volunteers and supporters.
We would also like to thank our sponsors: AT&T, Barefoot Wine& Bubbly, Boston Harbor Cuises, Bud Light, Chris Harris Presents, Dell, Dana- Farber Cancer Institute, Eastern Bank, EDGE Boston, Frito Lay, Gonzalez & Associates P.C., Google, Macy’s, Microsoft New England Research & Development Center, The Rainbow Times, Samsung Galaxy Notebook, Boston Spirit Magazine, Cirque Du Soleil Totem and Zipcar.
As we relax into summer, remember that Boston Pride works to bring the community a diverse array of events and activities year-round. Your Boston Pride Committee is already working on plans for Pride Week 2013, as well as exciting new programming including The Supper Club, a new dining out event set for Saturday, August 25th, and the International Pride Conference in October.
Of course, we’ll also be bringing you another great Latin@ Pride celebration in September and our 3rd annual Holiday Party on Sunday, December 2nd. Save the date for these exciting community events because we’d love to see you all again before next June!

Here’s to a warm, sunny, and happy summertime!
With gratitude,
The Boston Pride Committee
